GLOBAL WORK PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: September 4, 2026 — Last updated: September 4, 2026
Global Work respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Global Work ("Global Work," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit or use our websites, applications, membership services, communications, and related features (collectively, the "Services").
Global Work is operated by the legal entity identified in our Terms of Service and at checkout. That entity is the controller or business responsible for personal information described in this Privacy Policy, except where another party is identified as independently responsible for its own processing.
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by law, we will request it separately. This Privacy Policy does not replace any consent that applicable law requires us to obtain.
Global Work provides paid membership access to tools and information designed to help adults discover remote-work opportunities, coworking and flexible-workspace options, and related resources. The Services may display, organize, summarize, or link to listings supplied by employers, workspace operators, partners, public websites, feeds, and other third parties.
Unless Global Work expressly states otherwise for a particular service: Global Work is not the employer, recruiter, staffing agency, landlord, workspace operator, or seller responsible for a third-party listing; clicking, applying, reserving, communicating, or transacting on a third-party website is governed by that third party's terms and privacy policy; and this Privacy Policy does not govern information processed independently by employers, recruiters, workspace operators, payment providers, linked websites, or other third parties.
This Privacy Policy applies only to Global Work's own processing of personal information. Additional notices may apply to a specific product, region, promotion, or feature. If an additional notice conflicts with this Privacy Policy, the more specific notice controls for that activity.
The Services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us through Contact Us. We will investigate and delete the information when required by law.
The information we collect depends on how you use the Services, the features available in your location, and the choices you make.
A. Information you provide — We may collect: account and identity information, such as name, username, email address, telephone number, country or region, preferred language, password or authentication information, and account settings; profile and preference information, such as professional interests, preferred roles, skills, experience level, work-location preferences, workspace preferences, saved searches, saved listings, notification settings, and accessibility or communication preferences; subscription and transaction information, such as selected plan, billing country, transaction amount, currency, payment status, renewal date, cancellation status, invoice details, refunds, and limited payment-related identifiers received from our payment provider; communications, such as messages, support requests, survey responses, reviews, feedback, complaints, and other content you send to us; user content, such as information you choose to upload, submit, save, or publish through an available feature; and promotion information, such as referral codes, offer eligibility, entries, and related communications.
Do not submit government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, health information, precise biometric information, or other sensitive personal information unless a Global Work feature specifically requests it and explains why it is required.
B. Information collected automatically — When you use the Services, we and authorized service providers may collect: device type, operating system, browser type, language, and device or advertising identifiers; Internet Protocol address and approximate location derived from it; pages viewed, searches, filters, clicks, referring and exit pages, session times, and interaction data; saved or viewed listings, outbound link activity, feature usage, and subscription events; cookie, pixel, software-development-kit, local-storage, and similar technology data; and diagnostic, performance, fraud-prevention, security, and error-log information. We do not collect precise geolocation unless we first provide notice and obtain permission where required.
C. Information from other sources — We may receive information from: Stripe and other payment, billing, fraud-prevention, identity-verification, or tax service providers; login, authentication, hosting, analytics, customer-support, communications, and security providers; employers, recruiters, workspace operators, data licensors, feeds, and business partners; referral partners and marketing partners, subject to applicable consent requirements; public websites, public records, and publicly available professional or business sources; and another user when, for example, that user sends you an invitation or referral. We may combine information from these sources with information collected through the Services.
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you enter payment information into Stripe's checkout or payment interface, Stripe receives and processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Depending on the integration and your choices, Stripe may collect card or bank-account details, billing details, device information, transaction information, identity-verification information, and fraud-prevention signals.
Global Work generally does not receive or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. We may receive limited information from Stripe, such as payment method type, card brand, the last four digits, expiration information, billing country, transaction identifiers, subscription status, payment outcome, risk or fraud signals, invoices, refunds, and disputes. We use this information to provide paid access, administer subscriptions, maintain records, prevent fraud, issue authorized refunds, address disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Stripe may act as our service provider or processor for some activities and as an independent controller or business for others. Review Stripe's Privacy Policy for its practices. Payment pages must use HTTPS and the payment integration must be maintained in accordance with applicable Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
We may use personal information to: create, authenticate, administer, and secure accounts; provide memberships, search, discovery, saved items, alerts, recommendations, and other requested features; process subscriptions and payments, send receipts, manage renewals and cancellations, and respond to refunds or disputes; personalize content, ranking, search results, and recommendations based on stated preferences and use of the Services; communicate about the Services, account activity, security, support, policy changes, and transactions; send marketing communications where permitted, subject to your choices and applicable consent requirements; operate, maintain, debug, analyze, test, and improve the Services; monitor availability, traffic, performance, and user experience; detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, scraping, account takeover, prohibited conduct, security incidents, and violations of our terms; verify and maintain the quality, integrity, accuracy, and safety of listings and platform content; comply with law, valid legal process, tax and accounting rules, regulatory requirements, and enforceable government requests; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce agreements; and complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.
We may create aggregated, statistical, or de-identified information and use it for lawful business purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify information that applicable law treats as de-identified unless permitted to test our de-identification methods or otherwise required by law.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: Contract — processing necessary to create your account, provide the membership or feature you request, process a subscription, and administer our agreement with you; Legitimate interests — operating and improving the Services, understanding usage, protecting users and the platform, preventing fraud, maintaining business records, and communicating about our Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; Consent — optional cookies, certain marketing communications, precise location, and other activities for which the law requires consent; and Legal obligation — tax, accounting, sanctions, consumer-protection, law-enforcement, and other compliance requirements.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object.
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy: service providers and processors that support hosting, cloud storage, authentication, payment processing, fraud prevention, analytics, communications, customer support, security, document delivery, and other business operations; Stripe and financial partners involved in payments, subscriptions, refunds, taxes, fraud monitoring, disputes, and compliance; employers, recruiters, workspace operators, listing providers, and partners when you direct us to share information, request an integration, use a partner feature, or otherwise provide consent; professional advisers, including attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, bankers, and consultants, subject to appropriate duties of confidentiality; authorities and other parties for legal or safety reasons when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, users, the public, or the integrity of the Services; parties to a corporate transaction, such as an actual or prospective buyer, investor, lender, successor, or adviser involved in due diligence or a transaction; and other parties at your direction or with your consent.
We require service providers to handle personal information only for authorized purposes and under appropriate contractual protections, subject to applicable law.
Global Work does not sell personal information for money. At launch, Global Work does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or process personal information for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy, provide any notice or consent required by law, and offer required opt-out mechanisms before using personal information in the new manner. Where legally required, we recognize browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out for the browser or device that sends the signal.
We use cookies and similar technologies that may be: strictly necessary to provide login, authentication, security, checkout, load balancing, preferences, and core functionality; functional to remember choices and improve convenience; analytics to measure use, diagnose performance, and improve the Services; or advertising or social-media technologies, only if introduced with the notices, choices, and consent required by applicable law.
Where required, non-essential technologies will not be activated until you provide consent. You may manage available choices through our cookie settings and your browser or device. Blocking certain technologies may affect functionality. Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not interpreted uniformly; we respond to legally recognized opt-out preference signals where required.
We may send service messages necessary to administer your account or transactions. You cannot opt out of essential service, security, legal, or billing notices while maintaining an active account.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message or adjust available account settings. You may withdraw consent to marketing messages where consent is the applicable basis. Even after you opt out, we may retain limited information necessary to honor your request and prevent future marketing to that address.
We may use automated systems to organize listings, identify likely relevance, detect fraud or abuse, personalize recommendations, and improve search results. These tools may use your preferences and interactions with the Services. Global Work does not intend these recommendations to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or access to essential services.
Global Work does not make hiring decisions for third-party employers and does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, legality, or outcome of a listing. Verify material information with the responsible third party before applying, booking, paying, relocating, or making another decision.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security and continuity, comply with legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary by data type and context. Our general criteria include: account information — while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; subscription, transaction, tax, invoice, refund, and dispute records — for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, payment-network, fraud-prevention, and legal rules; support and complaint records — for as long as needed to resolve the matter, identify recurring issues, and establish or defend legal claims; security and technical logs — for a limited period appropriate to security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and legal requirements; consent and privacy-request records — for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance and honor choices; and backups — until overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course, subject to restricted access and restoration controls.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it until deletion is practicable. We may retain information longer if preservation is required by law, litigation hold, investigation, safety need, or an unresolved dispute.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, taking into account the nature of the information and the risks involved. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, monitoring, vendor review, backups, and incident-response procedures.
No method of transmission, storage, or security is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password, protecting account credentials, keeping devices secure, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
Global Work and its service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy laws from your country. Where required for transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another restricted jurisdiction, we use an approved legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement, or another lawful safeguard. You may contact us to request information about applicable safeguards.
Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to: know whether we process your personal information; access or obtain a copy of personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; delete personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive certain information in a portable format; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable; appeal our refusal of a privacy request where applicable; complain to a privacy or data-protection authority; and receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
You may exercise applicable rights through Contact Us. State the country and, if applicable, U.S. state in which you reside and clearly describe your request. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will use information submitted with a request only to verify and fulfill it. If we cannot verify a request, an exception applies, or another party controls the information, we may deny or limit the request and explain our decision where required. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly. To appeal a decision, submit a new message through Contact Us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject or first line.
California and other U.S. state disclosures — The categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 3. The business and commercial purposes are described in Section 5. The categories of recipients are described in Section 7. Depending on your interaction, these categories may include identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic activity; approximate geolocation; professional or employment-related information; inferences based on preferences and activity; and account credentials or other information treated as sensitive under applicable law. We collect these categories from you, your device, service providers, payment providers, partners, listing sources, and public sources. We retain them under the criteria in Section 12. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals, and we do not sell personal information for money. Our targeted-advertising and sharing practices are described in Section 8.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom — You may contact the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe a violation occurred. You may also contact us to ask about our controller identity, cross-border safeguards, or any locally required representative. We will provide or publish representative details where appointment is legally required.
Brazil, Canada, Colombia, and other jurisdictions — Residents may have rights under applicable national or provincial law, including rights to confirmation, access, correction, updating, deletion, anonymization, portability, information about disclosures, withdrawal of consent, objection, complaint, or review of certain automated processing. We will honor these rights to the extent applicable to our processing and may direct you to the responsible regulator or independent controller where appropriate.
The Services may link to or display content originating from third parties. A link, listing, logo, or reference does not mean Global Work endorses, controls, employs, represents, or guarantees that third party. Third parties may collect information directly from you and may use cookies or other technologies under their own policies.
Before submitting an application, resume, payment, booking request, identification document, or other information to a third party, review that party's identity, terms, privacy policy, fees, cancellation rules, and security practices. Global Work is not responsible for independent third-party privacy practices.
If Global Work is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or transition to another operator, personal information may be reviewed, transferred, or disclosed as part of that event, subject to confidentiality and applicable law. We will provide notice of a material change in control or materially different privacy use when required.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, technology, law, or our practices. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required. Your continued use after the effective date of an update is subject to the updated policy, but does not replace consent where law requires consent.
For privacy questions, complaints, or rights requests, use Contact Us and identify the message as a privacy request. The legal name of the operator, its business contact information, and any locally required privacy representative must also appear in Global Work's Terms of Service, checkout disclosures, and website footer.
If you have an unresolved concern, you may have the right to contact the privacy, consumer-protection, or data-protection authority where you reside.
